OpenDigCompEdu @ the Annual Conference EDEN 2022

The OpenDigCompEdu project was presented as a good practice example at the Annual ConferenceEDEN2022: “Shaping the Digital Transformation of the Education Ecosystem in Europe”, Tallinn University, 20-22 June,  during the SYNERGY online session where research projects are promoted.

Dr. Diana Andone, from UPT, OpenDigCompEdu project partner, spoke about the latest trends in online education and the need for a digital education ecosystem in European schools. She highlighted the importance to create and validate an understanding of the sustainability in education through open education within the Framework for open and digital competencies for educators. She also presented how we can fully enhance collaboration between educators, learners, school leaders, school institutions with education providers, universities, and companies developing open digital tools. In this regard, Diana presented the Erasmus + OpenDigCompEdu https://opendigcompedu.eu/ objectives and results, in order to put the digital in academia.

The presentation was held in front of ~100 live and ~50 virtual stakeholders from HEIs, aprofessors students, university teachers and main EU policy makers. A direct contact with the EU SELFIE unit was created and discussions advanced on data sharing.

The“Shaping the digital transformation of the education ecosystem in Europe” EDEN hybrid conference https://www.eden-online.org/, held in the form of a presentations panel, was intended as a continuation of the efforts of EDEN to support educators by providing a space to explore the issues and insights that have emerged during the COVID-19 pandemic.
