The Erasmus+ Open Digital Competences Training for School Educators (OpeDigCompEdu) project was presented at the EDEN DLE Annual Conference held on June 16-18, 2024, in Graz, Austria.
The theme of this year's conference was "Learning in the Age of AI: Towards Imaginative Futures", and the conference attracted 224 participants from 113 educational institutions from 32 countries in Europe and the world.
The OpenDigCompEdu project was presented with the paper Mini-Courses for Open Digital Competences for Educators and the poster. The paper presents the results of the OpenDigCompEdu project which aims to accelerate the digital competences of educators in school education from Spain, Romania, Croatia, Greece and Norway towards the sustainable adoption of more online and blended approaches in education through the use of open educational technologies and open education principles.
The paper presents the development of 5 micro-courses, all related to the development of digital education competences and to be offered online and in a blended format in Moodle Academy. The micro-courses are Open Digital Education Ecosystem, Learn Moodle Basics, Teaching with Open Digital Tools, Assessment in Online Environment, OpenEdTech for Sustainability, Diversity & Inclusion and Climate Change in Education. These are small, online, multimedia-rich courses developed with study cases from all partners, interactive online activities and using existing OERs. The project partners Dr Diana Andone from the Polytechnic University of Timisoara, Romania and Dr. Sandra Kucina Softic from the University of Zagreb University Computing Centre held the presentation about the project results.
